Adirondack Carousel

Fun for all ages at the Adirondack Carousel

The Adirondack Carousel is a unique and beautiful venue providing old fashioned fun for all ages. The 24 hand carved carousel animals are indigenous to the Adirondacks, the rounding boards are regional scenes painted by local artists, and the Chris Craft boat is wheelchair accessible.

Come rain or shine, hop on and take a spin on “Bug Eye” the blackfly, “Oliver” the otter, or another favorite Adirondack animal. You can also search for the lady bug (the New York State insect) that is carved into each animal.

The Carousel is located in a beautiful enclosed pavilion in William Morris Park, where, between rides, children and parents can enjoy drawing, board games, playing “dress up” or playing on the playground. Browse the gift shop for Carousel apparel, coloring books, vintage toys and more. You’re welcome to linger and enjoy a beverage and a snack while the children delight in their own activities.

The Adirondack Carousel, a private not for profit business, is the product of a tremendous regional effort. The loyal dedication, hard work and generous contributions of materials, expertise and monetary donations by many individuals and businesses have made this gem a reality. Please join us and experience the joy of a most unique old fashioned Carousel.
The carousel is located at 2 Depot Street, at the corner of Route 86 and Route 3 next to Stewarts in Saranac Lake. We are open seven days a week in the summer from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Special events such as birthday parties, holiday parties, and receptions can be arranged.
