About the park
When there isn't music and farm-fresh goodness there, you'll find people launching boats and enjoying the mountain views. During Winter Carnival, it is the part of many attractions which line the lake side of River Street.
Riverside Park was created by merging the former site of the old Riverside Inn with three other parks along the length of River Street: Seymour, Prescott, and Mullen Parks. These four parks were created between 1918 and 1937. The town park system follows a plan, the Olmsted Plan for the Development of Saranac Lake, using the same firm of architects who created Central Park in New York City.
