Operated by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, this is a scenic pond with access to Grass Pond and St Regis Pond via portage. Loons are often seen on the pond and it is also a great spot for a cool swim.

Beach launch. Parking for 50 cars and trailers.

No motors, no fishing allowed.

There is first-come, first-served camping close to Little Clear Pond. On the road into the pond, campsites are reached on a side track along the railroad tracks.

Getting there

From Malone, drive south on Route 30 to the intersection at Lake Clear Junction, about 38 miles. Turn right and drive 2.8 miles to Fish Hatchery Road. Turn right. In 0.4 miles, turn right at the brown and yellow DEC sign.
