LOWER CHATEAUGAY LAKE - ICE FISHING

MUD POND - ICE FISHING

The Osgood River feeds this pond and its larger companion, Baker Pond, just south of Meacham Lake. It's a nice combination of remoteness and accessibility.

Access: Take Route 30 south from Malone. A trail for snowmobiles leads from Route 30 to Mud Pond, just opposite and north of Sunnyside Road. You can reach Baker Pond from Mud Pond by following the river.

Species: Northern pike, yellow perch, pumpkinseed.
